TFA, TAXISnet, Ariadni, e-filing: every government portal your Cyprus company touches

By Tyrel Smythe9 min readUpdated 21 July 2026Facts verified July 2026

There is no single login for a Cyprus company. Your filings live across at least five government systems, built in different decades, mid-migration into each other, with several separate credential regimes. Nobody publishes a map — which is one practical reason founders end up fully dependent on whoever holds the passwords.

This is the map, as of July 2026: what each system does, which of your company’s obligations lives where, what’s moving and when — and the access question that matters more than any of it: who holds your keys.

The migration in progress (and why guides contradict each other)

Cyprus is consolidating the tax side into Tax For All in phases: VAT moved in March 2023 (killing TAXISnet-for-VAT), payroll withholding followed in 2025 with the new monthly TD7 — and since July 2025, PAYE can only be paid through TFA/JCC. The big one — income tax returns — was scheduled next, then officially pushed to 2027: 2025-year returns stay on TAXISnet. So for all of 2026 your company genuinely lives in both systems, and any guide that says “everything is on TFA now” or “VAT is on TAXISnet” is describing a different year. (Same story at the Registrar, which is mid-way through its own digitalisation programme — e-certificates are rolling out under the 2025 modernisation decree, with full completion targeted for later in 2026.)

Ariadni vs CY Login, since the naming confuses everyone: Ariadni was the old government gateway; CY Login is its successor (old Ariadni credentials carried over), and it’s becoming the single identity for government services — it already opens the UBO register and works for TFA. The Registrar’s e-filing and TAXISnet still run their own separate credentials. One identity to rule them all is the direction; 2026 is not yet that year.

Who holds your keys? (the actual point)

Here’s the structural issue behind this whole article: in the standard corporate-services arrangement, the provider holds most or all of these credentials — the TFA agent access, the TAXISnet codes, the e-filing account, sometimes even the CY Login tied to your UBO file. That’s operationally convenient and strategically terrible: it means your ability to see your own tax account, filings and deadlines is mediated by someone whose billing model depends on being in the middle.

A sane division of keys looks like this:

  • You (or a company officer) hold: a CY Login in your own name (needed for the UBO register anyway — set it up early; identity verification can require an in-person step, a known bottleneck for non-residents), and at minimum view access to the company’s TFA account.
  • Your accountant holds: agent access. TFA has this concept built in — a taxpayer formally appoints a Tax Agent in the portal, who then acts on the company’s behalf, and the appointment can be terminated the same way. That’s the right pattern: the professional works through their own delegated access, and revoking it doesn’t require asking them nicely for passwords.
  • Nobody but the company should be the registered owner of the underlying accounts. If your provider set everything up under their own profiles, that’s a portability problem you want solved on a calm day — the switching guide covers the handover mechanics.
Five-minute audit

Can you, today, without emailing anyone: see your VAT account balance on TFA? Log into the UBO portal? Name who holds the TAXISnet codes and the e-filing account? If any answer is no, you’ve located the dependency — and the fix (own CY Login + agent-based delegation) costs an afternoon.

Where Monolog fits

Monolog is the layer above the portals: your deadlines, filings, registers and books in one dashboard, whoever files where. The portals stay what they should be — submission endpoints, not the only place your company’s state exists.

Frequently asked questions

Which Cyprus taxes are on Tax For All in 2026?

VAT (since March 2023), VIES statements, and payroll withholding — the monthly TD7 — plus registrations, tax clearances and payments (PAYE is payable only via TFA since July 2025). Income tax returns remain on TAXISnet until the migration planned for 2027.

What's the difference between Ariadni and CY Login?

CY Login is the successor to the Ariadni government gateway — same idea, current branding, and old Ariadni credentials carried over. It's the identity used for the UBO register and increasingly for other services, including TFA.

Can my accountant access my tax account without owning my credentials?

Yes — TFA supports formally appointing a Tax Agent from within the portal, giving the professional delegated access under their own identity. That's the right structure: you keep the account, they get (revocable) agent access.

Why do I need a CY Login personally?

The UBO register runs on it, and the annual confirmation window (1 October – 31 December) is your company's obligation even if a provider files it. Setting up CY Login can involve in-person identity verification, so doing it before a deadline — not during one — matters for non-residents.

Where do I actually pay Cyprus corporate taxes?

In 2026: provisional tax and income tax balances are declared via TAXISnet and paid through the Tax Portal (by payment reference number) or JCCsmart. VAT and PAYE are paid inside Tax For All.
